Jayden Daniels is trending on the internet this Wednesday, but it’s not because he just wrapped up his pro day at LSU.
It turns out Daniels is being talked about on X because of his right elbow. We’re not kidding.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport announced earlier this afternoon that Daniels was set to meet with the New England Patriots, Washington Commanders, New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders. Naturally, his post on social media was accompanied by a photo of the LSU quarterback.
Fans quickly noticed that Daniels’ throwing elbow was pretty much sticking out more than it should. That led to questions about his right arm.
Here’s the photo of Daniels that’s going viral on social media:

Sports medicine physician Dr. Jesse Morse offered an explanation as to why Daniels’ elbow looks so inflamed.
“Jayden Daniels appears to be dealing with olecranon bursitis of his right throwing elbow,” Dr. Morse wrote. “This is an inflammation of the bursa, which is a sac that is usually empty and is there to protect the bone underneath. We have them in several joints including the elbow and the knee.”
Daniels is expected to be a top-five pick in this year’s draft, and rightfully so. He finished the 2023 season with 3,812 passing yards, 1,134 rushing yards and 50 total touchdowns.
Last week, Albert Breer reported that Daniels is the “leader in the clubhouse” to be the next starting quarterback for the Washington Commanders.
Until Daniels gets drafted, there’ll probably be some chatter on the internet about his elbow.
