Top Ten Wide Receiver Fantasy Football Seasons Since 2000

July 28, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

Wide receivers can make or break your fantasy football season. Let’s look back at some of the best seasons of the 21st century.

Top Ten Wide Receiver Fantasy Football Seasons Since 2000

Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams 2021

Cooper Kupp won the triple crown that season and holds the top spot for the best fantasy season of the 21st century. His connection with Stafford was special, and he’ll look to rekindle that with Sam Darnold in 2025. His 437.5 PPR points are a high bar for anyone to attempt to break.

Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals 2024

Another triple crown winner, Chase’s 17 touchdowns were the third most for a wide receiver since 2000. He was a force of nature and is one of only three receivers with over 400 fantasy points in this span.

Ceedee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys 2023

A full season of Dak Prescott and Ceedee Lamb resulted in a 403 PPR point explosion. As the team moves forward with George Pickens and Jake Ferguson signed long term, Lamb may never reach this ceiling again.

Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers 2015

The Killer Bees era in Pittsburgh was special. It’s one of the only times Pittsburgh had a high-flying offense and a Swiss cheese defense in the franchise’s history, and Brown had two of the best seasons of all time back to back.

Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers 2014

It’s always nice to see growth. Brown had 388.9 PPR points in 2014 and followed that up with 389.2 in 2015. He’ll likely be remembered for his post-career shenanigans, but Antonio Brown, the football player, was one of the best in the league.

Randy Moss, New England Patriots 2007

Moss is the only player in the top ten with fewer than 100 catches. But his 18 touchdowns as part of the Patriots’ perfect regular season kept him as the number six player on this list. He put the “washed” claims to bed on his way to 385 fantasy points.

Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins 2023

Hill wasn’t even the wide receiver one in this season, but his 376 points are good enough for the seventh-most since 2000 for a wide receiver. The change of scenery wasn’t the death note a lot of analysts expected, and he can still fly at this point in his career.

Michael Thomas, New Orleans Saints 2019

Still the single-season record for receptions in a season, Thomas had an affinity for slants. In PPR leagues, he was a menace in 2019 with 185 targets, 149 receptions, and 1725 yards before fading into obscurity the following season. His 374 points won a lot of people their leagues in 2019, and his first-round ADP lost a lot of people their leagues in 2020.

Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons 2015

Another receiver who had unlucky timing, Jones was the wide receiver two in 2015 behind Antonio Brown. He comes in at ninth on the top ten fantasy seasons for a receiver since 2000 due to his insane yardage and reception totals. With only eight touchdowns, Jones’ unluckiness finding the endzone plagued him throughout his career. He finished 2015 with 369.1 PPR points.

Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings 2022

Jefferson has been a pillar for fantasy football since entering the league. Outside of injury, he’s been a top-six option in every season. In 2022, he had over 1800 yards and 368 fantasy points, good enough to secure the tenth spot on the list.
