Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan suffered a hamstring injury midway through the week, but it shouldn’t sideline him for Week 10’s battle against the New Orleans Saints. While the team has yet to officially make an announcement, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the star first-round pick will suit up for the divisional battle.

Tetairoa McMillan Injury Update: Panthers WR Expected to Play Against Saints
The Tetairoa McMillan injury update is fantastic news for the Carolina Panthers, as the team has a lot to fight for in Week 10. After a slow start to the season, Carolina has turned it around and currently boasts a solid 5-4 record. While they wouldn’t make the playoffs if it started today, they’re in the thick of the Wild Card race and only two games behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South. If Carolina wins and Tampa Bay loses to the 7-2 New England Patriots, the race for the division crown could get interesting.
Despite being a rookie, Tetairoa McMillan has been the team’s most consistent player in the passing game. Starting and appearing in all nine games, the Arizona product hit the ground running, recording 41 receptions for 558 yards and two touchdowns on 69 targets. The next-closest player on the roster, fellow first-round pick Xavier Legette, has just 20 receptions for 181 yards and two touchdowns.
Tetaiora McMillan and the Panthers face a very beatable Saints team in Week 10. Currently sitting at 1-8, New Orleans traded deep threat Rashid Shaheed to the Seattle Seahawks ahead of rookie Tyler Shough’s second start. While anything can happen on any given Sunday, Carolina should like their odds of winning this contest.
