The NFL world took to Twitter to react to this big-time free agency news for the three-time Pro Bowler.

Many seem to feel the signing was great news for both parties.

“I’m a big fan of this signing! If he’s able to stay healthy, he’ll be a cornerstone of that OL for a long time!” one fan wrote.

“Get your money @T_Armstead72! Thank you for all the years, much love and much respect to you big dawg,” another said.

Massive deal for a massive need. If he can stay healthy, my goodness he’s exactly what this offense needs. https://t.co/Ek0rFIT6g2

If Armstead is able to stay healthy throughout the 2022 season, he should be an excellent addition to a Miami offensive line that recorded the league’s worst pass-block rate (46.6%) and gave up 40 sacks this past season, per NFL Next Gen stats.

Armstead has yet to notch a full season in his nine-year NFL career. But when healthy, he’s proven himself as one of the best tackles in the league.

Armstead was in and out of the Saints’ lineup this past season as he dealt with nagging knee issues. Though he missed the final four games of the 2021 season and underwent surgery in January, the soon-to-be 31 year old is reportedly making solid progress and could return in time for training camp this year.
