A week after a disappointing outing from Saints wide receivers, Deonte Harris brings hope for a potential return.

The New Orleans Saints completed only four of their 16 targets to wide receivers in Monday night’s win against the Seattle Seahawks. Going up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend, the Saints will need greater production from the position. Re-enter Deonte Harris who left the Week 5 matchup against the Washington Football Team early with a hamstring injury.

Harris returned to practice on a limited basis on Thursday after being estimated as DNP on Wednesday. This is Harris’ first action since the WFT win in which he caught a 72-yard touchdown. The Saints would love to have him, and thus some additional firepower, back this weekend against the division rival Bucs.

Other than that, no surprises for the Saints. LG Andrus Peat is expected to miss the rest of the season with upcoming pectoral surgery and Taysom Hill continues to be held out as he works his way through concussion protocol, a concerning sign considering the varying severity and unpredictability of head injuries.

As for the Bucs, who continue to deal with a hobbled secondary, their injury load lightened a bit as well with DT Ndamukong Suh (knee) and TE O.J. Howard (Ankle) both elevating to full participationg.

Other star names like WR Antonio Brown, LB Levonte David, CB Richard Sherman, and TE Rob Gronkowski all maintain their practice status from Wednesday.

In other roster news, the Saints brought OL Will Clapp and DT Albert Huggins back to the practice squad. DT David Onyemata was a full participant in practice.

Update on RB Mark Ingram: Head Coach Sean Payton said Thursday morning that he expects Mark Ingram “absolutely” has a chance to play on Sunday after being acquired via trade Wednesday.
