Saints defensive end Cam Jordan has been a legitimate iron man over the course of his career. Since entering the league in 2011, he has only missed one game.
Jordan had to sit out Week 14 last season because he was on the COVID-19 list. Fast forward to this Friday, and the Saints announced he’ll miss the first game of his career due to injury.
The Saints ruled Jordan out for this Sunday’s game against the Rams due to an eye injury.
Jordan sustained this eye injury in last weekend’s loss to the Steelers. He tried to play through the injury, albeit his eye was nearly swollen shut.
In 10 games this season, Jordan has 42 total tackles and 5.5 sacks.
The Saints have also ruled out Marcus Davenport for this Sunday’s game, which means Carl Granderson, Tanoh Kpassagnon and Payton Turner will need to step up at defensive end.
Kickoff for the Rams-Saints game is at 1 p.m. ET.
