Saints add one, waive two and place one on IR
The New Orleans Saints have officially signed a few veterans after practice today. Most recently signing veteran guard J.R. Sweezy. He started 10 games for the Arizona Cardinals last season, in 2019 he started all 16 games at right guard for them. After losing veteran guard Nick Easton this offseason, Sweezy could fill that void. He was working with the second team at LG today.

The Saints officially announced the signings of CB Prince Amukamara, CB KeiVarae Russell and RB Devonta Freeman. The counter move was waiving two players, they waived defensive lineman Lorenzo Neal and defensive back Lawrence Woods. Neal was a UDFA DT out of Purdue. Woods was a UDFA CB out of Truman State University. Also placing UDFA TE Dylan Soehner on Injured Reserve.

The new Saints practiced today, Prince Amukamara was wearing number 6, KeiVarae Russell number 35 and Devonta Freeman number 34.
