The New Orleans Saints have continued to churn their practice squad, this time by signing veteran free agent Ryan Glasgow. A 2017 draft pick by the Cincinnati Bengals, Glasgow tried out for the Saints on Nov. 11 before joining the team. He’ll be replacing defensive end Will Clarke, per the daily NFL transactions wire.
Glasgow’s addition follows the release of rookie prospect Tommy Stevens (who signed with the cross-division rival Carolina Panthers) and the previous signing of Christian Ringo, another defensive tackle.
The Saints are without starter Sheldon Rankins while he recovers from a knee injury on the injured reserve list, and starting nose tackle Malcom Brown also has his status up in the air after exiting Sunday’s win over the San Francisco 49ers with a calf issue. They need help rounding out the rotation in practice, which explains these roster moves.
