The New Orleans Saints are in need of some help at the wide receiver position.
Michael Thomas, the team’s star wide receiver, is reportedly out for several weeks with an ankle injury. According to reports, the All-Pro wide receiver is expected to miss at least the first month of the season. Thomas reportedly underwent surgery in June.
Outside of Thomas, the Saints are pretty thin at the wide receiver position.
According to a report from NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo, the team is bringing in some wide receivers for workouts. Among the wide receivers being brought in: veteran Chris Hogan.
With Michael Thomas recovering from surgery, the #Saints are working out free agent wide receivers today, sources say. One of them is nine-year veteran Chris Hogan, most recently with the #Jets.

Hogan, 32, played in the NFL from 2011-20. He’s most known for his time with the Patriots, as he won two Super Bowls in New England.
The former Patriots wide receiver also pursued a professional lacrosse career. However, he appears to be willing to come back to the NFL for the 2021 season.
Hogan has 216 career receptions for 2,795 yards and 18 touchdowns.
The Saints have yet to figure out their starting quarterback situation. Hogan could be catching passes from Jameis Winston or Taysom Hill (or both) if he signs with the Saints.
