The New Orleans Saints are reportedly adding to their quarterback depth ahead of the start of the 2021 regular season.
According to NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo, the NFC South franchise is re-signing veteran quarterback Trevor Siemian.
Siemian, 29, was a seventh round NFL Draft pick out of Northwestern in 2015. He began his career with the Broncos, playing in Denver through the 2017 season. Siemian has bounced around the league ever since, playing for Vikings, Jets and Titans.
The veteran NFL quarterback joined the Saints in 2020. He was released by the Saints at the end of August, but the team has reportedly decided to bring him back.
Siemian is one of two notable roster moves for the Saints on Monday morning. Sean Payton’s franchise is also reportedly signing veteran wide receiver Chris Hogan.
And Trevor Siemian will be back with the #Saints today as well. @TomPelissero reported this would happen and wouldn’t you know it, it did. https://t.co/4tBjPy2JrZ
