Saints Officially Sign 16 Players To Practice Squad

Per Nick Underhill, the Saints announced the signing of 16 players to their practice squad on Wednesday.

The following is a list of players being signed to the unit by New Orleans:

  1. S Johnathan Abram
  2. S Ugo Amadi
  3. WR Kevin Austin Jr.
  4. S Millard Bradford
  5. T Josiah Ezirim
  6. TE Mason Fairchild
  7. G Kyle Hergel
  8. LB Khaleke Hudson
  9. TE Michael Jacobson
  10. RB Jacob Kibodi
  11. DE Niko Lalos
  12. G/C Shane Lemieux
  13. K Charlie Smyth
  14. LB Isaiah Stalbird
  15. WR Equanimeous St. Brown
  16. DT Kendal Vickers

Abram, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Raiders out of Mississippi State back in 2019. He signed a four-year, $11,495,198 rookie contract including a $6,380,144 signing bonus. 

The Raiders opted to decline his fifth-year option for the 2023 season in April 2022. He was set to be an unrestricted free agent in 2023 when the Raiders waived him midseason. He was claimed by the Packers before being waived and claimed by the Seahawks in November. 

Abram signed a one-year deal with the Saints in March. After going back and forth from the practice squad in 2023, he signed another one-year deal with New Orleans in March 2024.

In 2023, Abram appeared in three games for the Saints and recorded eight tackles.
