The 2025 NFL schedule will be released later today.
The New Orleans Saints schedule releases on Wednesday at 8:00pm ET. The Saints will have the second easiest schedule in the NFL based on opponents win percentage from last year, as they will only face three playoff teams from last year in 2025. However, their road schedule is a tough one. With long trips to Los Angeles and Seattle and potential cold weather games in Chicago and Buffalo, the Saints will have to hope these games get scheduled early in the year to avoid the hazardous weather often found in these locations late in the year. Let’s take a look at how the Saints 2025-26 schedule could potentially shape out:
Week 1 – @ Miami Dolphins
The Saints have started with a non-division opponent in every odd-numbered year since 2015. I think that keeps going this year with the NFL not giving the Saints that long of a road trip to open the year.
Week 2 – vs. New York Jets
Week 3 – @ Chicago Bears
Week 4 – @ Seattle Seahawks
Week 5 – vs. Arizona Cardinals
Week 6 – vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 7 – @ Atlanta Falcons (TNF)
The Saints and Falcons are always a draw, and Thursday Night Football loves these divisional matchups. Two of the Saints last three Thursday night games have been at home, so I think they’ll have to go on the road this time.
Week 8 – vs. San Francisco 49ers
Week 9 – vs. Carolina Panthers
Week 10 – BYE
Week 11 – @ Tennessee Titans
Week 12 – vs. Atlanta Falcons
Week 13 – @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 14 – vs. New York Giants (MNF)
This game has the potential to be rookie QB vs. rookie QB if Tyler Shough and Jaxson Dart are both starting by this week. This is an intriguing storyline on the Saints schedule, combined with Saints HC Kellen Moore’s familiarity with the Giants through his five years as an offensive coordinator in the NFC East with the Cowboys and Eagles means this game has the potential to wind up in primetime. However, I feel it may be later in the year so the NFL has the opportunity to flex it out of primetime if one or neither of the rookie QBs are playing at this time.
Week 15 – @ Buffalo Bills
Week 16 – vs. New England Patriots
Week 17 – @ Los Angeles Rams
Week 18 – @ Carolina Panthers
The Saints last played the Panthers in Week 18 in 2022. The NFL may think the Buccaneers and Falcons are more likely to be playing for the division crown in Week 18, so I see them pairing those two teams up for the last game of the year with the Saints and Panthers left to play in Week 18.
