Now that Tom Brady has retired, all four teams in the NFC South are officially in the market for a new quarterback.
Kyle Trask is currently the only quarterback on the Buccaneers’ roster. He was selected by Tampa Bay in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
The Falcons, meanwhile, have Desmond Ridder and Marcus Mariota. That might be the strongest quarterback room in the division.
The Panthers only have Matt Corral and Jacob Eason under contract for the 2023 season. Sam Darnold is set to be a free agent.
As for the Saints, they have Jameis Winston and Jake Luton at quarterback. There’s a possibility the team parts ways with Winston in the next month or so.
Here’s a look at the quarterback situation in the NFC South:
Both the Falcons and Panthers own top-10 picks. It’s possible they draft a quarterback this April.
The Buccaneers and the Saints, however, won’t have that luxury. Perhaps they’ll pursue a veteran signal-caller like Derek Carr instead.
