DFS Tournament plays for Week 7 of the NFL regular season

Last week’s recommendations and their DraftKings points:

• Mark Andrews: 17.80

Last week was highly successful with these picks. Starting the players listed would have netted 92.84 points in tournaments. If you would have paired some higher end players like Jonathan Taylor, Cooper Kupp, or CeeDee Lamb with this lineup, you would have surely landed in the green. Things get more difficult this week though with many teams on bye week. Let’s try to repeat this success though. Here are some DraftKings tournament plays for Week 7 of the NFL regular season.

DraftKings DFS Plays for Week 7 of the Regular Season

Matt Ryan is an excellent pay-down option for quarterback this week. Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons are coming off their bye week and get to face a road-weary Miami Dolphins team. The Dolphins are allowing the ninth most points to quarterbacks on the year so far. There is no reason to think they would be any better this week either. The Falcons seemed to find their groove before their bye week, putting up 27 points. Ryan threw for 342 yards and two touchdowns in that contest. That was without Calvin Ridley as well. Ryan will likely not be highly used in most tournaments as well. Take the option for $5,700 this week.

J.D. McKissic might be over used this week but the value is too much to pass up. McKissic is Washington’s passing down back. Against the Chiefs last week, McKissic caught eight passes while combining for 110 total yards. Antonio Gibson is also ailing, so McKissic could be the starter this week. Even if Gibson plays, Washington has to go to Green Bay this week. This game is likely to have a similar script as last week, with The Football Team playing catch up most of the game. This bodes well for McKissic’s use. At just $5,000, the value is too good, even if it is a bit chalky.

This weekly article tries to not use players with high salaries. It is easy to simply recommend players that DraftKings assessed as being the best for the week. However, this week Calvin Ridley will make the recommendations. Ridley has not been a fantasy value at any point this season. He also missed the last game where the Falcons offense seemed to click. This should help tournament plays though. Ridley will likely be passed over for other options since he has disappointed in yearly fantasy leagues so far this season. Even at $6,600, pairing Ridley with Matt Ryan is a sneaky play. The Dolphins allow the third most points to wide receivers on the year. This could be a prime spot for a Ridley breakout.

Are these recommendations really going to put two Washington players on the list? Yes, it seems so. This week, only three other games have an expected total above the game between Washington and Green Bay. With the bye weeks, this means it is okay to double up on these games with high totals. Enter, Ricky Seals-Jones. Just like with McKissic, Seals-Jones could be heavily targeted due to a game script that favors passing the ball. Without Logan Thomas, Seals-Jones has been targeted a total of 15 times the past two games. At just $3,500, this pay down is well worth it. Seals-Jones also scored the only touchdown for the Football Team last week.

• Ricky Seals-Jones: $3,500
• Jets DST: $2,400

The Jets defense might be a risky play in Week 7. They have a big upside though. The Patriots have the seventh fewest yards on offense and ninth fewest points. The Jets are one of the lowest priced defenses this week, take the discount and use the funds elsewhere. Using these listed players, leaves $26,600 to use in the other available spots. This is plenty enough to pay up for players like Devante Adams or Joe Mixon. Mix and match these around various contests to make the most out of the value provided.
