Find out how each of us thinks the Saints will do this upcoming season.
With the 2025 season fast approaching, the staff at Canal Street Chronicles have submitted their record predictions on the New Orleans Saints upcoming season. Let’s take a look at their thoughts:
Most have the Saints at under .500, as six out of the nine prediction them having fewer than nine wins. The Saints are headed towards a year of uncertainty with rookie QB Tyler Shough likely to take up the starting mantle. With this new direction, the Saints record may suffer compared to years in the past just like it did last season, but going into the season with tempered expectations may be good for a team that is still in a very winnable division.
The only results agreed upon by all nine writers were losses to the San Francisco 49ers and at the Buffalo Bills, and a win against the New York Giants in Week 5. Seven responses however have the Saints picking up a win in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals, and seven also have the Saints going on a three-game winning streak in Weeks 15-17 against the Panthers, Jets, and Titans. Is this a bit overconfident? Maybe, but the Saints schedule is not a difficult one, ranking 31st in the league in terms of opponent’s win percentage last year.
