New Orleans Saints star wide receiver Chris Olave has battled a back injury all week, but that shouldn’t sideline him for Week 13’s contest. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, New Orleans expects him to play against the Miami Dolphins, although nothing will be official until the team officially releases their inactive list before the game.

Chris Olave Injury Update: Saints WR Expected to Play Against Dolphins
This report should be music to the ears of every Saints fan, as Olave has essentially been the team’s entire passing attack the past few weeks. The former first-round pick led the team in targets throughout the season, and his involvement in the offense has only increased following the Rashid Shaheed trade. So far on the season, the wide receiver has recorded 69 receptions for 734 yards and four touchdowns on 108 targets and has remained productive with both Spencer Rattler and rookie Tyler Shough under center.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time Chris Olave has battled a serious injury. The Ohio State product has suffered four concussions since entering the league, including two last year. The two concussions limited him to just eight games last year in what would be the final year of Derek Carr’s career.
The Saints will need Chris Olave to act like his back injury isn’t bothering him if they want to take down the Miami Dolphins. After a disastrous start to the season, Tua Tagovailoa’s club has started to turn it around in the last couple of weeks. While they’re 4-7 on the season, they’re 3-1 in their past four games and are still in the playoff race. However, they’ll need to win out if they want to have any chance of making the postseason, so they won’t overlook the Saints.
