After spending only one season with the Los Angeles, the NFL journeyman wide receiver Jalen Reagor could be a cut candidate. According to Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report, they believe Reagor could be cut before the 2025 campaign due to the return of Keenan Allen. This release makes sense, given that the Chargers brought him in just last year, as the team was attempting to provide quarterback Justin Herbert with some relief in the aerial attack. Unfortunately, the Chargers still have one of the worst wide receiver units in the league, but the team keeping Reagor won’t do much for this offense that hopes to go farther in the playoffs than they did this past January.
Originally selected in the 2020 NFL Draft, the former TCU product didn’t justify that he has a starting spot this upcoming season. After recording just 100 receiving yards on seven catches, it’s hard to imagine what his future looks like in the league. Reagor came into the NFL as an Eagle for one season, and he’s been on a journey since 2020 and hasn’t been able to surpass more than 150 receiving yards on three different teams. However, several NFL teams will be looking to add any final talent right before the regular season, so these four teams could roll the dice on Reagor and offer him a one-year contract to potentially reignite his career.

Next Potential Teams
Washington Commanders
Since the Washington Commanders have yet to agree on terms for a new contract with Terry McLaurin, it might be safe for the team to invest in a free-agent wide receiver. If Jalen Reagor becomes available, the Commanders should target Jalen Reagor in a low-stakes signing that can develop and be ready behind receivers like Michael Gallup and Luke McCaffrey. Reagor isn’t going to drastically help Jayden Daniels‘ pass attack, but the Commanders have the roster to turn the wide receiver into gold.
Dallas Cowboys
Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys always love to invest in unproven talent, and Reagor could be the perfect signing. Jonathan Mingo is fighting for his job this upcoming season, and Jalen Tolbert is entering his final year of his contract. Reagor isn’t taking reps away from CeeDee Lamb or George Pickens, but he could be another body that Dak Prescott can use to move the chains.
Baltimore Ravens
However, the Baltimore Ravens have one of the most dangerous pass-catchers in Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman and DeAndre Hopkins. It wouldn’t hurt to add a low-stakes receiver like Reagor to bolster the passing game for quarterback Lamar Jackson. Reagor could slowly develop in the background, similar to what Nelson Agholor was when he was a part of this roster before becoming a free agent this offseason. He won’t haul in consistent catches, but he’s reliable to get some big moments from here and there.
New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints have one of the worst quarterbacks in the league between Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler. This means they need all the offensive pass-catchers they can get to put either one of these potential starters in the best position to succeed. Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed are solid, but perhaps they could sign Reagor to pair with veteran Brandin Cooks to receive some mentorship from him.
