Derek Carr is beginning to make his rounds as he seeks to find his new NFL home.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network:
“The Saints invited [Carr] for a visit and the Raiders have granted permission for that to happen. The plan is for a visit tomorrow. Carr, who has a no-trade clause, is doing due diligence and no trade is imminent.”
The Saints are one of multiple NFC South teams that have shown an interest in the four-time Pro Bowler.
Carr has been on the outs in Las Vegas since the Raiders decided to go with Jarrett Stidham over the last couple weeks of a disappointing season for the Silver and Black.
New Orleans has been searching for an answer at quarterback since the great Drew Brees sailed off into retirement. The Saints have deployed a carousel of QBs over the last two seasons.
