NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport first reported that Peat will be headed to the Las Vegas Raiders. Peat has played 111 games for the Saints primarily at left guard. Last season; however, Peat transitioned to left tackle.
If Ryan Ramczyk’s injury prevents him from playing in 2024, the Saints will have lost three offensive linemen since March due to injury, retirement, or free agency. However, the Saints did just draft offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Peat was drafted out of Stanford with the 13th overall pick. In his final season with New Orleans, Peat played 809 snaps, allowed two sacks, and was graded a 60.2 PFF grade.
It will be interesting to see how the Saints choose to replace this experienced veteran within a unit that needs experience more than anything else.
