New Orleans Saints star running back Alvin Kamara is officially questionable for Week 12 with an ankle injury. However, despite the designation, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport notes that the veteran should suit up for the divisional battle between the Atlanta Falcons. While this isn’t an official designation, Saints fans and Kamara fantasy football managers alike should plan on seeing the five-time Pro Bowler on field.

Alvin Kamara Injury Update: Saints RB Expected to Play Against Falcons
While he’s maintained his spot atop the Saints depth chart, the 2025 season has not been kind to Alvin Kamara. Starting and appearing in all 10 games, the running back has recorded just 460 rushing yards and one touchdown on 128 attempts (3.6 yards per carry) while adding another 31 receptions for 182 yards through the air. While the running back has lost a step in his age-30 season, he’s also playing in a bad offense with untested quarterbacks and a subpar offensive line. Frankly, it’s easy to see why this team is 2-8.
Fortunately, the Saints have a decent shot of adding to the win column in Week 12. New Orleans faces off against a 3-7 Atlanta Falcons team that cannot get out of their own way. After a reasonably strong start to the season, the Falcons collapsed and are currently in the midst of a four-game losing streak. To make matters worse, quarterback Michael Penix tore his ACL and will miss the remainder of the season. Veteran Kirk Cousins will take his place under center, but the quarterback hasn’t looked like a starting-caliber option since tearing his Achilles midway through the 2023 season.
The Saints have the talent to win this game, and having Alvin Kamara play through this injury will only increase their odds of earning the second win of the Tyler Shough Era.
