What to expect in the Saints’ first game against an AFC opponent.
The New Orleans Saints are set to come marching into Buffalo, N.Y., in a week four matchup against the Bills. On paper, this could be their toughest matchup of the early season.
The Buffalo Bills made the AFC championship game last season and has the reigning MVP in quarterback Josh Allen. They have also made numerous offseason additions to the defense, including a draft that saw 6/9 picks on that side of the ball and the big signing of pro-bowler Joey Bosa.
One positive is that the Saints won’t be visiting Buffalo in the dead of winter, just late September. That should put the temperature for the game somewhere in the mid-60s, according to accuweather.com.
This will be one of the tougher games of the season for the Saints. In addition to facing an elite football team, the Saints are also dealing with the effects of traveling back from their previous week’s game in Seattle, which is on the opposite coast. Let’s hope there isn’t much jet lag.
