Three players for your daily fantasy lineups.
If you’re a daily fantasy player, before each game I will look at four players from the New Orleans Saints and their opponent’s rosters that I would target in daily fantasy (based off their value and potential results).
Is Saints QB Drew Brees still safe QB for daily fantasy leagues? Even still, spending your money on a top-tier starting QB leaves you scraping the barrel to fill out the rest of your roster.
Normally I try to find four players for your daily fantasy lineups from each week’s Saints game, but this week, the pickings are slim. So here are two Saints and one Chief that provide the most bang for your buck. (Values from DraftKings)
QB Drew Brees (NO) – $5,900
Obviously this is contingent on Drew Brees getting the start on Sunday after a return from injury, but if he’s back, then you can get the most accurate passer in NFL history in daily fantasy for $2,000 cheaper than his counterpart, Patrick Mahomes. Drew Brees gives the Saints the best chance to win on Sunday, and they will surely need points if they have any hope of taking down the defending Super Bowl champs.
WR Tyreek Hill (KC) – $8,800
Tyreek Hill is the most expensive wide receiver in daily fantasy this week, and even the third most expensive player in all of daily fantasy this week. It shouldn’t come as a surprise either, playing in a high-powered offense led by Patrick Mahomes and likely slated to go against Marshon Lattimore all game. Lattimore has struggled mightily all season against all receivers not named “Mike Evans,” so expect there to be one “T. Hill” that has a monster game this week, and it’s not “Taysom.”
RB Alvin Kamara (NO) – $7,400
Tyreek Hill is expensive in daily fantasy this week, but so too is Alvin Kamara, the fourth-most expensive running back this week ($2,100 cheaper than Derrick Henry this week). Again, it will be important to put up points on Sunday, and the Chiefs are bringing only the 20th-ranked defense against opposing running backs in 2020. Whether it be on the ground or in the air – if Brees returns expect a huge resurgence for Kamara in the passing game – Kamara should have a monster game this week.
