New Orleans Pelicans Zion Williamson is again dealing with an injury. This time it’s a bone contusion in his left foot that caused him to miss Monday’s game against the Boston Celtics. However, Williamson doesn’t think the injury is very serious.
“Right now, we’re in a day-to-day thing,” the Pelicans star said. “But nothing major. Nothing that is going to keep me out for a long time. Just day to day.”
Williamson hurt the foot in Saturday’s game when he landed on the foot of San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama.
“Landed on someone’s foot and the side of my foot just banged the ground,” Williamson said. “The pain level didn’t really pick up until a day or two days later. I spoke with the team, made the best decision on it. Got it looked at.”
