The New Orleans Pelicans have informed rival teams they have no intention of trading Zion Williamson, Trey Murphy, Herb Jones, Derik Queen or Jeremiah Fears ahead of the February 5th trade deadline.
There has been some level of speculation that Williamson, Murphy or Jones could be made available by the Pelicans as they potentially rebuild around their rookies Queen and Fears.
The Pelicans do not own their 2026 first round pick, which means they have no incentive to have an in-season reset of their roster.
Jones signed a contract extension with the Pelicans in the offseason and cannot become a free agent until 2029 at the earliest. Murphy is in Year 1 of his extension and is signed through 2028-29.
Williamson is signed through the 2027-28 season.
