The New Orleans Pelicans have signed guard D.J. Carton and wing Trhae Mitchell to Exhibit 10 contracts. Carton and Mitchell signed non-guaranteed deals. Both players are expected to join the Birmingham Squadron for the upcoming G League season.
Carton appeared in four NBA games last season while on a two-way contract with the Toronto Raptors. In 22 G League games between Raptors 905 and the San Diego Clippers, the 6-foot-23 point guard averaged 13.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.9 steals per game.
Mitchell played in 50 games for the Squadron last season. The 6-foot-6 wing averaged 7.6 points and 1.2 steals per game.
