The New Orleans Pelicans have declined their $3.15 million team option on Elfrid Payton for the 2025-26 season.
Payton averaged 3.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists in 21.3 minutes across 24 games last season with the Charlotte Hornets and Pelicans. Payton had two separate stints with the Pelicans with the Hornets’ stint in-between.
Payton is represented by Darrell Comer.
