Forward Jalon Moore has signed a non-guaranteed training camp deal with the New Orleans Pelicans. The deal is set up to get Moore to the Birmingham Squadron as an affiliate player following the preseason.
The 6-foot-6 forward is expected to miss the entire 2025-26 season after suffering a torn Achilles’ tendon during the pre-draft process. The injury cost Moore a shot at being drafted and the entire pre-draft process drew criticism from Moore’s agent at the time.
As a senior at Oklahoma, Moore averaged 15.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Moore shot 47% from the field, including 38% from behind the arc in his final season with the Sooners.
