DeAndre Jordan has agreed to sign a one-year, $3.6 million deal with the New Orleans Pelicans. Jordan, who is represented by Jeff Schwartz and Mike Lindeman, spent the past three seasons with the Denver Nuggets.
Jordan averaged 3.7 points and 5.1 rebounds in 12.3 minutes across 56 games last season. Denver acquired Jonas Valanciunas during the offseason and Jordan’s role would be further diminished. Jordan turned 37 in the offseason and is one of just five players from the 2008 NBA draft class that remain active in the NBA.
The Pelicans signed Kevon Looney in the offseason to play a veteran center role for the team.
