Most of Green’s teammates came from different backgrounds, but he was the one who kept them all united and focused on the bigger goal. That 2003 Titans squad wasn’t one of the most talented groups Watson has ever coached, but he said they were as tight-knit as any team he’s been around. He knew how to relate to guys and influence them in the right ways. He realized the price he was paying, and he made sure everybody paid that price.”
