The 24-year-old indicated that it was not a surprise to go undrafted, particularly having spent a half-decade in college, with some NBA scouts believing that older players have less upside to improve compared to younger prospects. “I knew with my age and how many years I’ve been in college, it was going to be really hard for me (to be drafted),” Dickinson acknowledged. “(But) I knew once I got here, I’d have a shot. That’s all I was looking for, to have a shot. To prove myself. That’s why I wanted to go to New Orleans, because the organization had a plan for me.”
