We’re still 12 Saturdays away from LSU taking the field for the first time in 2025, but the TV overlords at ESPN have given us an early idea about what time the Tigers will play all season long.
Prior to today, we definitively knew the kickoff times for LSU’s first four games: at Clemson, home games against Louisiana Tech and Florida will all kickoff at 6:30, while the Southeastern game will start at 6:45.
The other eight games received one of three designations: Early (11 A.M.-Noon), Night (5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M.), or Flex (2:30 P.M.-3:30 P.M. OR 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M.). The designations for the rest of LSU’s schedule are as follows:
- 9/27 at Ole Miss: Flex
- 10/11 vs. South Carolina: Flex
- 10/18 at Vanderbilt: Early
- 10/25 vs. Texas A&M: Flex
- 11/8 at Alabama: Night
- 11/15 vs. Arkansas: Early
- 11/22 vs. Western Kentucky: Night
- 11/29 at Oklahoma: Flex
Per ESPN’s press release “the exact start times within such window(s) will be confirmed no later than six days prior.”
We now know for sure both Vanderbilt and Arkansas will be day games, while the Alabama and Western Kentucky games will kickoff no earlier than 5:00. Ole Miss, Carolina, A&M, and Oklahoma could all go a couple of different directions, but we know for sure they won’t start any earlier than 2:30 P.M.
The home slate this year’s not great, but at least the first three games will all kick off under the lights of Tiger Stadium. If you’re interested in seeing what else LSU is competing with for potential home night games…
- October 11: Georgia at Auburn has already claimed that week’s “Night” designation. LSU-South Carolina will compete against Arkansas at Tennessee and Florida at Texas A&M
- October 25: Tennessee at Kentucky has already claimed that week’s “Night” designation. LSU-Texas A&M will compete against Texas at Mississippi State, Alabama at South Carolina, and Missouri at Vanderbilt
