January 24, 2024 by Zags Blog

By DYLAN LUTEY

Top-150 junior Colt Langdon of Millbrook High (NC) is hearing from a whole host of schools, he told ZAGSBLOG in an interview.

The 6-7 wing, who has 20+ offers, is currently in contact most with LSU, Notre Dame, Butler, Georgetown, Mississippi St., and Pitt the most. Alabama and Clemson, who have not offered, are in touch as well. He will be visiting the Bulldogs for the second time this weekend and the Crimson Tide sometime next month.

The three-star wing broke down some of his options:

LSU: “I really talk to the whole staff. They think I can really shoot it in the SEC.

Notre Dame: “[I] talk to [head] coach [Micah] Getter and coach [Kyle] Getter. They love how I can play multiple positions and score.”

Butler: “Me and coach [Alex] Barlow talk almost everyday. They think I can fit well there.”

Georgetown: “[I] talk to [head] coach [Ed] Cooley and coach [Jeff] Battle a lot. They think I can come help turn the program around.”

Mississippi St.: “[I] talk to [head] coach [Chris] Jans and coach [Patrice] Days. They think I can contribute early.”

Pitt: “[I] talk to head coach [Jeff] Capel and coach [Milan] Brown a lot. They think I play a lot like Blake Hinson and [Carlton] Bub Carrington.”

Alabama: [I] talk to coach [Preston] Murphy. They love my positional size and ability to shoot.”

Clemson: “[I] talk to coach [Lucas] McKay a lot. They love how I can score and play like some of their former players.”

Langdon is currently having a monster junior season, nearly averaging a double-double with 27.9 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.

“I’m very versatile and can score from everywhere,” he said of his skillset. “I can play multiple positions and guard multiple. I’ll do anything it takes to win and [I] am super competitive.”
