LSU and Iowa have been rivals on the hardwood for the past two seasons, but there’s no bad blood between the two programs.
During an appearance on “The Baller Alert Show,” LSU star Flau’jae Johnson was asked about Iowa legend Caitlin Clark.
Not only did Johnson show support for Clark, she said the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer is helping the women’s game as a whole.
“It’s good for the game. Caitlin Clark, say what you want, she’s a star,” Johnson said. “America has gravitated to her and it’s only putting the women up more and more so I love it.
“It’s beautiful for me to see because I’m right in the middle of it. I got to share the court with her two times. She’s a good player. I love it. I think it’s going to give more opportunities for women like me coming up in the next era of college basketball.”
Fans around the country are applauding Johnson for being so supportive of Clark.
Flau’jae on all the attention Caitlin Clark has received:
