During Tuesday night’s baseball game between Arkansas and LSU, a fan sitting in left field was in perfect position to catch Tommy White’s three-run homer. What happened next was something you’d see in a comedy movie.
White’s home run ball went through the spectator’s glove and bounced off his head.
The fan who was on the wrong side of this moment spoke to LSU reporter Pat Timlin. It turns out he’s a lifelong Tigers fan named Cory.
“It was on a rope. I’ve been carrying this glove with me for years,” Cory said. “I was like, ‘OK, now is my time. I’ve got one coming.’ Hole in the glove, man. What can I say? Beamed off my dome, and here we are. I got a nice little goose egg. It don’t feel good. It felt every bit of a 109 mph home run ball.
Cory was unable to secure the ball that bounced off the top of his head. He did, however, receive another ball from Josh Pearson.
As of right now, the plan is for Cory to get that ball signed by White.
“Friday I’ll go get Tommy to sign it for me, and maybe kiss my boo-boo,” he joked.
Meet Cory, the LSU Baseball fan who took a Tommy White home run straight to the dome. He’s in great spirits despite the 109 MPH EV missile that hit him.

Hopefully, Cory gets a chance to redeem himself later this season.
LSU’s baseball team will face Auburn this Friday at 6:30 p.m. CT.
