Chicago Sky rookie forward Angel Reese officially graduated from LSU this Friday.
Reese, the No. 7 pick in this year’s WNBA Draft, earned her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
On Friday morning, LSU women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey congratulated Reese on her latest accomplishment.
“Proud Coach,” Mulkey wrote on X. “Congratulations @Reese10Angel! #ForeverLSU.”
It’s nice to see Mulkey support Reese, but it’s not surprising. Back in April, she spoke highly of the SEC Player of the Year.
“When she came here, she said she wanted to be here for two seasons and she has lived up to that. What a remarkable two years it has been,” Mulkey said, via The Daily Advertiser. “We are all indebted to Angel Reese for the contributions she has given to this program, helping us win our first National Championship, and the contributions she made on our university as a whole.”
Unfortunately for Reese, she won’t have much time to celebrate her academic accomplishment. She has another WNBA game on the schedule this weekend.
Reese scored 12 points in a season-opening loss to the Dallas Wings. She’ll be back on the hardwood this Saturday.
LSU fans will be rooting hard for Reese every game this season, make no mistake about it.
