How To Football: Week 6

October 4, 2024 by And The Valley Shook

Hello, it’s me, Billy. I’m in heaven now. So sorry I died.

Ships and Sailors Shift

  • Pitt-UNC: The unstoppable force (the Pitt offense) meets the extremely mobile object (the UNC defense). Will Zachary product Eli Holstein hit the high score of 70?
  • Navy-Air Force: Navy is good. Not “good for Navy”, good. But Air Force has no love lost for the Midshipmen and this game is often very chippy. Could definitely by worth a watch.
  • Missouri-Texas A&M: The Tigers were off following their narrow overtime escape against Vanderbilt, which is very well timed because now they have to face against a Mike Elko defense. The Aggie offense is very much in the air, but the defense is in fact a Mike Elko defense.
  • SMU-llvll: It is Week 6 and I still know next to nothing about either team. Will we get the SMU that dropped 66 on TCU or the SMU from a week earlier who were smothered by BYU and only scored 15. And is llvll still just mid or are they actually improving under Brohm? No one knows!

Anxiety Dishware Shift

  • Ole Miss-South Carolina: Ole Miss had their hands full with the Kentucky defense last week, and now they have to deal with probably an equal defense plus Sellers on the other side of the ball. Good luck.
  • West Virginia-Oklahoma State: A N X I E T Y B O W L. I know Gundy won’t get fired, but they lose this one hoo buddy that is one hell of a vote of no confidence.
  • Rutgers-Nebraska: This game is going to be so gross, and I’m so here for it.
  • App State-Marshall: We have a G5 Anxiety Bowl to pair with out P5 one. It’s called a bundle.

So Sorry I Died Shift

  • Michigan-Washington: A rematch of the National Championship between two teams who…will not be returning this season. But still, that doesn’t mean that this game won’t be good, I think this could be pretty damn good.
  • Tennessee-Arkansas: RIP Sam Pittman.
  • UCF-Florida: RIP Billy Napier
  • USC-Minnesota: The number say that Wisconsin has a chance in this game, but I don’t know how I feel about that. Show me something. Fickell.

Robert Kekaula Memorial Shift

  • Miami (FL)-Cal: COMMUNISTS VS. CONVICTS
  • Texas Tech-Arizona: This is lowkey going to be a full tilt banger worth staying up for.
