Tigers add a late signature on the final day of the early signing period
While the bulk of the early signing period was accounted for on Wednesday, Ed Orgeron and his staff was able to fit in one more commitment before the clock struck midnight.
Bryce Langston, a four-star defensive end from Ocala, Florida signed his letter of intent with LSU late Friday evening, as first reported by The Athletic’s Brody Miller.
Top-150 defensive lineman Bryce Langston (Florida) signs with #LSU.
That puts LSU at three top-150 defensive linemen in the 2021 class so far.

Per the 247 Composite, Langston is a top-150 prospect and the 12th ranked strongside defensive end. Langston had offers from Florida, Florida State and Auburn among others.
Per 247’s evaluation, the 6’2”, 250 pound Langston has Day 3 NFL Draft potential and “will likely establish himself as a starter at a Power 5 school after a few years on campus.”
Langston’s addition gives LSU 20 players who have signed with the Tigers. LSU’s 2021 class has now leapt past Georgia for the No. 3 class in the nation trailing only Alabama and Ohio State.
Langston is one of three defensive linemen to sign with LSU. Five-star defensive tackle Maason Smith from Houma, Louisiana and four-star defensive end Landon Jackson from Tekarkana, Texas both signed with LSU on Wednesday. The Tigers also still hold a commitment from Saivion Jones, a four-star defensive end from St. James.
