The SEC has some good quarterbacks for this upcoming college football season but if you’re asking Greg McElroy, he thinks Jayden Daniels is the best.
McElroy was praising the LSU quarterback in a big way during a recent appearance on the “Always College Football” podcast.
“The best quarterback returning in the SEC is Jayden Daniels,” McElroy said, (first transcribed by Saturday Down South). “Tell me a player that looked more comfortable in their final game of the season than the first game of the season than Jayden Daniels. And think about the progression that was made when he played against Florida State to where we saw him in the bowl game when he was completely lights out.”

Daniels was electric for the Tigers in 2022. He completed 68.6% of his passes for 2,913 yards, 17 touchdowns, and only three interceptions.
He’ll look to build off that heading into this upcoming season as the Tigers are expected to be one of the top teams in the country.
