After what felt like the longest week ever, game day is finally upon us.
LSU and Arkansas close out the opening round of the 2025 College World Series under the lights of Charles Schwab Field. It’s the two biggest teams left standing, arguably the two biggest brands in college baseball, so it’s only right they get the primetime treatment on the biggest stage the game has to offer.
But for all the hoopla coming into tonight’s game, it’s still just one game, and it might end up being the first of three games between the Tigers and Hogs. Neither team can afford to start off in the loser’s bracket so both teams are throwing the best arm they’ve got: Kade Anderson vs. Zach Root. Anderson’s already beaten Root once in Alex Box, here’s hoping tonight he can beat him again in Alex Box: North.
