The Bayou Barbie is heading to the Windy City after LSU superstar Angel Reese was drafted by the Chicago Sky in yesterday’s WNBA Draft.
Reese was the No. 7 overall pick by the Sky and the first player from LSU to go in the first round since LaSondra Barrett in 2012. It was a special day for Reese, who now goes pro after an historic career with the Tigers.
Taking to X this morning, Reese posted some of her favorite pictures from the fateful draft:

Fans have been looking forward to seeing what Reese will do in the WNBA for a while and yesterday seemed like a culmination of those hopes for many of them:
“Congratulations Angel! Rooting for you all year,” one user wrote.
“Always been team Reese. Now it’s just official,” wrote another.
“On behalf of all of Skytown, Angel we welcome to the Chicago Sky. Our summers are phenomenal and the people are even better. Just know that we got your back and will be cheering for you every chance we get. The Chi Town Barbie is here!!!” a third user replied.
The Sky have a lot to be excited about. They’re coming off their fifth straight postseason appearance and are just a few seasons removed from winning their first WNBA championship.
Reese has a chance to be a part of something great in Chicago.
