After weeks of speculation, former LSU guard Hailey Van Lith confirmed on Friday that she’s transferring to TCU.
Immediately after Van Lith made this announcement, Angel Reese sent her words of encouragement.
“Proud of you,” Reese wrote on X. “You know what to do & you know I’m always rocking with you.”
College basketball fans obviously love that Reese supports Van Lith’s decision.
The 2023-24 season didn’t go the way Van Lith hoped it would. The left-handed guard went from being Louisville’s leading scorer to an inconsistent shooter at LSU.
Van Lith averaged 19.7 points per game during her final season at Louisville. At LSU, she scored 11.6 points per game while shooting just 37.8 percent from the field.
LSU head coach Kim Mulkey told reporters that Van Lith realized it’s best if she goes to a program where she “can relax and get back to my normal position.”
Only time will tell if TCU is the right fit for Van Lith. She’ll certainly have plenty of opportunities to run the show there now that Haley Cavinder has returned to Miami.
