It’s been a turbulent couple of weeks for the Louisiana State University’s men’s basketball team.
The Tigers parted ways with former head coach Will Wade just a few short weeks ago. An NCAA investigation found Wade committed recruiting violations.
So who does LSU now turn to? Per a report, Murray State head coach Matt McMahon has emerged as the favorite for the job.
McMahon and the Racers earned the No. 7 seed in the 2022 NCAA Tournament. Murray State made it to the Second Round before falling to 15 seed Saint Peter’s over the weekend.

McMahon has built a strong foundation at Murray State. The Racers have gone 154-67 under his watch, including three straight trips to the NCAA Tournament.
