5-Star Quarterback Jaden Rashada Took Surprise Visit Monday

A wide-action shot of the crowd at an LSU game.

Jaden Rashada, one of the top quarterbacks from the 2023 recruiting class, reportedly went on a surprise visit to an SEC school on Monday.

According to Brandon Huffman of 247Sports, Rashada made an unofficial visit to LSU this week. The Tigers are listed as a suitor for Rashada, but the timing of this visit remains a surprise nonetheless.

If LSU wants to land Rashada, it’ll have to be ready to fend off Power Five programs like Cal, Miami, Ole Miss, Oregon and Texas A&M.

Since it doesn’t appear that LSU will win the Arch Manning sweepstakes at this time, going all in on Rashada isn’t a bad idea.

Rashada is the No. 29 overall recruit and No. 5 quarterback from the 2023 class, per 247Sports’ composite rankings.

Rashada showed a lot of potential in 2021, completing 146 pass attempts for 2,220 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also had 193 yards and a score on the ground.

LSU and others will most likely start ramping up their pursuit of Rashada in the near future.
