When it comes to college football, there’s no shortage of electric atmospheres and homefield advantages each and every Saturday. But according to 247Sports, one stadium stands above all.
In a recent ranking of the top 10 venues on CFB game days, 247 rated LSU’s Tiger Stadium the highest. As Carter Bahns writes:
Tiger Stadium often ranks as the best venue in which to watch a college football game, and for good reason. There is something truly special about Death Valley, which stands among the SEC’s largest venues and is home to one of the most faithful and passionate fanbases in the sport. LSU fans host arguably the premier tailgating scene in the country, highlighting pregame festivities that rival those of any other program. Opponents who dare enter Baton Rouge for a night game are in for perhaps the loudest and most hostile outings of their lives.
Death Valley beat out a number of worthy contenders on the publication’s list.
Including: Penn State’s Beaver Stadium, Neyland Stadium in Tennessee, Auburn’s Jordan-Hare, A&M’s Kyle Field, Ohio Stadium, The Swamp at UF, Memorial Stadium in Nebraska, Florida State’s Doak Campbell Stadium and Lane Stadium at VA Tech.
You really can’t go wrong with any of these atmospheres come fall. Which school do you think boasts the best game days in the nation?
