Two weeks from tonight is the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit, Michigan and the iconic “green room” is filling up quickly.
According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson, 13 players have been confirmed to be attending the draft. Among the most notable attendees are presumptive No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams and two other quarterbacks expected to go in the top three: Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye.
Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who is slated to be the first-non quarterback off the board, will also be in attendance, along with wide receivers Malik Nabers, Rome Odunze and Brian Thomas Jr.
Here is the full list of players currently confirmed to attend the NFL Draft:
- CB Terrion Arnold, Alabama
- QB Jayden Daniels, LSU
- WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State
- OL JC Latham, Alabama
- DL Laiatu Latu, UCLA
- QB Drake Maye, UNC
- CB Quinyon Mitchell, Toledo
- WR Malik Nabers, LSU
- WR Rome Odunze, Washington
- DL Darius Robinson, Missouri
- WR Brian Thomas Jr., LSU
- LB Dallas Turner, Alabama
- QB Caleb Williams, USC
That’s three players each from Alabama and LSU though none from reigning national champion Michigan.
The green room is usually a lot bigger though, usually filling up with upwards of two dozen prospects. So there’s a good chance that this isn’t the final list of players who will be walking up to give Roger Goodell a hug on Draft Day.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens to a trio of quarterbacks of who are believed to be first-round prospects but their draft position is far from secure: Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy, Oregon’s Bo Nix and Washington’s Michael Penix Jr.
